Business city “Tehnopark” announces Ukrainian open architectural competition for the best project offer of a multi-functional public building with a multi-level parking area that will be located in 55 Fedkovicha Street, in Lviv.

About competition

The Competition aims to create infrastructural public space integrated into the existing planning structure of the business city “Tehnopark” with a multi-functual building in order to solve the need for parking area combining commercial, office and public environments.

Aim of the Competition

  • to create a unique image of a multi-functional public building with a multi-level open parking area as one of the major emphasis of the business city “Tehnopark” taking into account stylistics and architecture of the projected building №41 (reconstruction of the existing building), functioning building №40 and existing urban development situation;
  • to determine an applicant for creating construction documents of the phase P.

We invite to take part in the Competition

  • To take part in the Competition we invite architects and groups of architects who have experience in developing commercial real estate and have got qualification certificate of architect.
  • Architects/groups of architects that will register in the Competition must have experience, personnel and material and methodical base for further creation of construrtion documents of the phase P in case if the First Award of the Competition is won.

Competition Awards

  • The 1st Award – priority right to sign the contract for creating project documents on design stage – project (P);
  • The 2nd Award – 90 000 ₴;
  • The 3rd Award – 60 000 ₴.

Task of the Competition

To determine the best project offer of a multi-functional public building with a multi-level parking area that will create infrastructural public space integrated into existing building and transport scheme within the territory of the business city “Tehnopark”. In future the building should solve the problem of lack of parking area for the needs of tenants of the business city “Tehnopark”, develop infrastructure of the business complex combining multi-level parking area with commercial spaces – focus is on significant pedestrian flow in Fedkovicha Street, office spaces, coworking space and multi-functional event hall with outdoor terrace, lounge-bar / restaurant on the top floor.

We are looking for the best solutions regarding:

  • creation of a unique image, form and holistic concept of architectural and artistic solution of interiors and exteriors of a mult-functional public building with a multi-level parking area, as one of the accents of the business city “Tehnopark” taking into account the stylistics and architecture of the designed building №41 and existing one №40;
  • open multi-level parking area with more optimal correlation of economic and designing factors;
  • design of commercial spaces of the ground floor oriented on pedestrian flow in Fedkovicha Street with function proposals (if possible);
  • design of the top floor: ivent hall and outdoor terrace, lounge-bar/restaurant, conference rooms and other additional spaces, if needed;
  • logical connections of offices, coworking space and ivent hall;
  • providing with quality transport and pedestrian flows with regard to transport scheme of the business city “Tehnopark”;
  • improvement of joint area focusing on front groups with landscaping;
  • energy-efficient solutions.

Requirements

Participants of the Competition have to develop project offers of a multi-functional public building with a multi-level parking area.

Requirements for design of a graphic part of a competitive project:

Projects are submitted anonymously with a code of six numbers placed in the top right corner of all materials of a competitive project (sketch board – 3*6sm). Each sketch board should also contain a serial number in the top left corner (if there are several sketch boards).

Graphic materials should be presented in hard and soft copies.

Sketch board should have hard basis so that it could be displayed at expositions and exhibitions.

All titles and captions in competitive projects should be written in Ukrainian.

In competitive materials metric measuring scale should be used.

A competitive project should be presented on vertical sketch boards of A0 size (maximum two) displaying graphic materials:

  • draft of floors;
  • draft of floors;
  • draft of covering;
  • separating partition;
  • facades of a building;
  • general layout M1:500 with landscaping;
  • 2-3 facade renders from several perspectives (the main – from side of a person near the office center in 55 Fedkovicha Street);
    other illustrative materials(booklets, prospects etc.) that help to reveal idea of the project.

It will be a plus: layout, slide-show etc.

Requirements for design of descriptive material of a competitive project:

Author/composite authors should present CD-rom containing materials of a competitive project including:

  • explanatory note in PDF and DOC;
  • sketch boards with graphic materials in PDF with dimension 300 dpi and in JPG with dimension 150 dpi;

Requirements for submitting of a competitive project:

By the deadline of project submission author / composite authors should submit  complete package of a competitive project (sketch board in hard and soft copy, layout and / or model (optional), explanatory note in hard and soft copy; CD-rom with all materials of the project and Declaration of authorship) to Organiser of the Competition per post or personally to the address:

Soft copy of a competitive project with explanatory note must be obligatory sent to the email: competition@tpark.lviv.ua

Registration

To take part in the Competition author / composite authors should draw up an application per sample.

Application for participartion filled in and siged/signed and sealed (if any) is submitted:

  • scanned to the email: mkardash.tpark@gmail.com
  • or per post to the address: Llc “Tehnopark LZTA” 72 Heroiv UPA Street, Lviv, Ukraine, 79015 (envelope must be marked “for competition”)

Deadline for application submission to take part in the Competition – withing a month from the date of the Competition announcement: 30/09/2014 – 30/10/2015.

Projects that were submitted without Competition application submission won’t take part in the Competition and will be published on the official website of the Competition marked as “out of competition”.
